Movie reviews from a theater employee.
Next up is A Morning Stroll, which hails from the UK. Loosely based on an event in Paul Auster’s True Tales of American Life, the short tells the same basic story in three different time periods. In each case, a man witnesses a chicken knocking on a door in the city and being let in. Each time period is animated in a different style, ranging from simple, art deco-esque lines, to a surreal colored world, to well done standard 3D animation. I loved the different art styles, and the changes to the story based on the time period lends the film a nice charm. A very creative short, with a wide appeal.
